It's the day we've been waiting for and to be represented with two runners, let alone a Cup starter, is pretty special.
Both horses are right where I want them to be so I'll leave the rest up to David and Benjamin.
As with any big race, you always need a bit of luck on your side so let's hope we can find plenty of it.
Race 7 @ 3.06 pm - #6 Perfect Bet
After her super performances in both heats she deserves a shot at the big time. It's a tricky draw so we'll have to see what happens early. If things swing in her favour she's a competitive chance.
Race 11 @ 5.36 pm - #10 Kango
We've had a problem free run since Kaikoura so I can't ask for anything more. I'm happy with his wide draw as I think he'll be out of harm's way. If they go hard he won't shrink the fight. Go get 'em big boy.
