Alexandra Park - 23 September 2022
Race 3 @ 6.12 pm - #6 Aflyin Spur
After being so consistent he had an uncharacteristic gallop last week so I've put the half hopples back on. He can make amends, so don't let him go.
Race 4 @ 6.37 pm - #1 Pacing Hope
She didn't manage to find any luck last start but still got home nicely. There are a few in form horses on the second row so let's hope she can make the most of a perfect barrier draw.
Race 5 @ 7.06 pm - #6 Crusader
I was rapt with his first up performance for third. It's a handy field of 3 year old intermediate grade pacers however, he certainly doesn't deserve to be the rank outsider.
Race 6 @ 7.41 pm - #4 Bad Medicine & #8 Outlaw Man
The ever consistent Bad Medicine is drawn nicely at barrier 4. He slides in well and will give you a good run for your money.
Outlaw Man's sectionals last week were very good against a better class of horse. The outside draw makes it hard but I wouldn't be surprised to see him feature.
Race 8 @ 8.41 pm - #5 Perfect Bet
Things didn't go her way last start so we're hoping for a change of fortune. With the right run she's a trifecta/first four player.
Race 9 @ 9.40 pm - #3 New York Minute, #4 Rough And Ready, #5 Taipo & #6 Kango
We have four out of the six runners here so surely we'll be right around the honey pot.
New York Minute hasn't been getting it right off the stand but let's hope he can tomorrow. A small field means there'll be a bit of cat and mouse. One thing's for sure he'll give his best.
Rough And Ready isn't far away from a win when he gets into the right race. If he steps and runs he'll keep them honest.
Taipo was super last week and there's no reason he can't measure up again. Off the front tape he's a key contender.
It looks a nice race for Kango before he heads to Christchurch. He starts alone on the back mark but I'm sure he'll have derived plenty of benefit from his first up effort. A lovely each way player.
