Race 1 @ 5.55 pm - #8 Pacing Hope
She meets a very moderate line up but does have a wide draw to overcome. With luck, she's a top three or four contender.
Race 5 @ 7.50 pm - #4 Perfect Bet
There are a couple of tidy horses in this race however, they have to start from the second row. I'd like to think DJB will make the most of her favourable barrier. I see her as a place prospect.
Race 7 @ 8.49 pm - #1 Bad Medicine, #6 Wild Card, # 10 New York Minute & #11 Rough And Ready
The first of our four runners is Bad Medicine. While he starts off the front tape, he does meet some very tightly assessed runners. He'll go his usual honest race but it'll be a tough ask.
Wild Card's last start effort had plenty of merit and his sectionals show that. He cut out the final 800 in 55.3 so you can't ask for better than that. It'll be hard given the opposition, but I'd like to think he can finish the race off.
There's plenty to like about our third runner New York Minute given he's a 10 race winner. The handicap means he'll have to chase the pack however, he's up to the task. I see him as a tidy each way bet.
Rough And Ready went super first up after a long layoff and he's derived plenty of benefit from the outing. He can turn up a surprise at good odds.
