On a cold slushy night New York Minute brought up his third win for the season while at the same time picking up his first victory at Northern Headquarters (Alexandra Park).  The win was sweetened by the fact it was penalty free as he was reigned by junior claim driver Zev Meredith.

Conditions were testing with Zev reporting he had limited visibility.  Horses were struggling but not New York Minute who was in for the fight.  After going head to head outside the hot pot from the 600 he had too many guns and drew away to win uncontested.

"He's the perfect tradesman who never lets you down" said Donnelly.  "I'm sure there are more wins in store."

The night was topped off with Kango's game second in the Roy Purdon Memorial and Perfect Bet's fourth in the Sires Stakes fillies at only her third start, while racing outside her class.
