Arna Donnelly is aiming for her first Group One success when she lines up Kango in this week's Dawson Harford Limited 2022 NZ Messenger mobile pace.
Kango is heading into Friday night's assignment in hot form, recently taking out the Coca Cola Superstars Championship FFA at group two level. "The Superstars at Addington was a hit and run mission which we successfully pulled off. A superb David Butcher drive and a great effort by the horse." an elated Donnelly reports.
The American Ideal gelding has since returned home to his Cambridge base, and Donnelly couldn't be happier with him before having another crack at group one glory. "He hasn't missed a beat or a grain of feed since returning home, his laid back attitude makes it all so much easier."
Donnelly was pleased with drawing barrier 3, which places Kango between two of the Purdon/Cullen runners Self Assured and Mach Dan, while last week's Taylor Mile winner Spankem will come from barrier 6.
Once again it looks set to be a cracking race!
