After three placings, from three runners earlier in the night, I came close to thinking I'd have to wait a bit longer for win number 250. Clearly New York Minute had other ideas. After stepping like a toff from the 20 metre mark it looked his race to lose. With the pace on from the get go I knew a lap from home that he'd have too much speed and come over the top of them.
Once again, it was a copybook drive by David Butcher when he ducked into the passing lane as the leader skipped clear.
It was very fitting that this wee courageous fella bought up win number 250 as he was also responsible for win number 200. And it was right in more ways than one as father Brent and mother Mary were both on course to join in the celebrations. Secondly he's raced by longtime owners Ken and Audrey Piercy. Unfortunately Ken passed away a while ago but I know this fella keeps Audrey going.
This was win number 9 for New York Minute and judging by the way he won it's not over yet!
Aflyin Spur, Perfect Bet and Crusader all put in tidy performances so to win with our final runner of the night was the icing on the cake.
