A smart horse regains his mojo
As the saying goes, sometimes it's blood, sweat and tears. Tonight at Cambridge was one of those moments. As race 6 was scoring up behind the mobile, I was praying that we would see the real Taipo, and we sure did. After letting them do the business early, Zev Meredith picked the perfect time to move. To see this horse back in winning form and draw away like he did was pretty special.
Another effortless win from Aflyin Spur
We didn't want to end the night with one winner so next up it was Aflyin Spur who once again showed how quick he can pick them up. He overcame the 35 metre handicap pretty quickly and sat while they were running. Passing the 500 he cruised around them and from here coasted away to record his fifth career victory.
