Four wins at Cambridge

On a wet humid night with 14 horses racing, you’d have to think something would go right and it sure did. By the conclusion of the race meeting we had notched up four wins and three seconds including a quinella!

Hope deserved that win

We started the ball rolling in Race 2 with Pacing Hope a wee mare that had been luckless in her last two or three starts. A beautiful drive by Crystal Hackett saw her loom large on the bend and fight off a late challenge.

With Graham looking down he duly obliged

We didn’t have to wait long for the next winner. This time it was Crusader who put a very emotional win on the board for the stable. His part owner Graham Barrett passed away earlier in the week so with the heavens looking down he pulled out all stops for Graham.

Bad Medicine a model of consistency

A bit later in the night we saw the ever-consistent Bad Medicine surge up the passing lane to pinch victory off his stablemate Glenthorne. As Aaron White said “no one could deny Bad Medicine the win”.

He showed his true worth

The fourth victory came with Alfyin Spur a horse who’s always shown he’s pretty smart when he gets it right. He had a skip after shying at another runner who galloped and got well back but once Todd set him alight it was game over.
