Manawatu - 12 December 2024

Race 4 @ 6.35pm - #3 Beta Prepare, #4 Bad Medicine, #6 Rough And Ready & #8 Cracker Rock

It was a solid effort from Beta Prepare considering the rise in company. Fingers crossed for a similar display.

Bad Medicine just can't get the rub of the green at the moment. He's at false odds, and can definitely spice things up.

It was great to see our warhorse Rough And Ready back in the winners circle. There's nothing to suggest he can't do it again.

Our final runner Cracker Rock made a spirited bid on the first night when picking up his third victory. While he's up in grade, look for him to be getting home late.

Race 6 @ 7.32pm - #6 Major Major

It was a disappointing effort on Tuesday. He seems fine, so we'll back him up and hope for a form reversal.

Race 7 @ 7.57pm - #6 Neymar

I really thought he'd get it right, but he let us down. I've made a couple of gear changes so I'll pray he gets round safely. Stick with him.

Alexandra Park - 13 December 2024

Race 3 @ 7.15pm - #10 Chase Me

You can't fault what he's done to date. I'm happy with the draw and on exposed form he looks one of the leading contenders.

Race 4 @ 7.24pm - #10 Virginia Clowers

It was her first start right handed for a while so I'm sure she'll navigate it better this week. Her closing sectionals told a good story, so I'd like to think she'll feature amongst the better brigade.

Race 5 @ 8.07pm - #4 Jolimont & #6 Kango

There was plenty to like about Jolimont's last start win. He looks a very competitive chance.

I thought Kango was massive last start. It was great to see him back in form and there's no reason he can't feature.

Race 6 @ 8.37pm - #12 Joes Rock

I didn't think she could win last week when I saw her that far back. Following out Lady Of The Light isn't a bad thing. I'm sure she'll run a very tidy race.

Race 7 @ 9.08pm - #7 Le Major & #9 The Surfer

Le Major
hit the line well and his closing 800 confirmed this. A very tricky draw once again, with a bit of speed inside him. While he's racing well, luck will play its part.

The Surfer can't cop a break or a draw. He went to the line full of running last week, and from one on the second row, he'll have plenty of traffic to clear. Another looking for luck.
