Race 5 @ 6.45pm - #4 The Surfer, #11 Mako & #13 Little Spike
Our first runner The Surfer wasn't far off them against a great line up of three year olds. The draw is on his side, so if he lands handy to the pace he can run a cheeky race.
It was a super effort from Mako a fortnight ago. A lot depends on where he ends up in the running, but with any sort of luck he's a real live chance.
Little Spike hit the line super once he found clear air. Like his stablemate, we're relying on what happens from his second row draw. With a clean run, he's a strong hope.
Race 9 @ 8.53pm - #14 Kango
The big boy is coming in fresh. It's always hard off 30 metres, so we'll be looking to take all the shortcuts. He'll definitely benefit from the outing, but if he's hitting the line I'll be happy.

Race 6 @ 8.09pm - #3 Rough And Ready
It's a handy field for the final of the Northern Metro Series. He finished the race off well last week so needs to be included.
Race 8 @ 9.07pm - #4 Le Major
He's my headache, but the bookies aren't letting him go. I've changed his work around the last fortnight and his demeanour indicates he's a very happy horse. I pray for the real Le Major to turn up.
Race 9 @ 9.38pm - #5 Jolimont
We freshened him up after his last run and his work since has been top notch. On paper he looks a leading contender.
