Race 2 @ 2.46pm - #5 Carolina Moon & #6 Jacqueline Rose

Carolina Moon fought on well at Palmy last start.  There are a couple of well backed maidens in here and from the draw she'll need luck.  I see her as a top four or five player.

Our second runner Jacqueline Rose has had two placing in her last two outings.  While she had her chance on the second day at Manawatu, with the right run she could feature.

Race 6 @ 4.47pm - #1 Bad Medicine & #10 New York Minute

The Wairarapa and Manawatu Cup winner Bad Medicine steps out in the Xmas Handicap Pace.  While it's a very tidy field, I expect him to begin well and be close to the pace.  Cover him in combinations.

Back on a fresh campaign is New York Minute.  He's only had one quiet workout to prepare so will benefit from the outing.  We'll be looking to take the shortcuts and hopefully see him finishing the race off.

Race 8 @ 5.39pm - #11 Denny

It's a big step down from the Manawatu Cup for Denny.  He follows out the right horse in Sunshine Shelby so couple them up and you shouldn't be too far away.
